Southside Marine is a trusted and established marine service centre, crewed by expert boat mechanics and specialising in an extensive range of maintenance services. Having worked alongside SBM on several successful projects, Southside Marine approached SBM for an additional SEO campaign, in order to grow their organic presence and generate more leads. SBM’s goal was to generate leads that would be genuinely valuable to the client, focusing on repeat customers. Further challenges would be to rank organically, increase traffic and finesse the website so it only captured high-value clients.
The solution
SBM went on to develop an SEO campaign with multiple facets that would fulfil every one of the client’s goals. Southside Marine first received an SEO-optimised website, with quality content and easy form adjustments. As the client known in their local area, the Marketing team capitalised on this to gather online reviews and boost authority. Instead of casting a wide net with audience targeting, the focus was narrowed to gain authority in the local area. This led to ranking high for a small area, instead of low for a large area.
The results
Since the conclusion of the campaign, Southside Marine has been consistently acquiring quality leads, resulting in a very high return on investment and greater overall awareness of their services in the local area. In fact, the effectiveness of the campaign had to be lowered, as the number of quality leads briefly became too high to handle. The client’s rankings jumped over 800 places, and they now rank across Melbourne for broad, frequently searched keyword phrases. SBM has continued to refine Southside Marine’s online strategy, making it even stronger for the future.
