The project
Logo, website and brand creation help Microbio to establish a solid brand identity for their revolutionary tech.
The puzzle
Specialising in pathogen detection, Microbio is a biotechnology startup in the process of developing a fast, accurate and revolutionary method of detecting the pathogens that cause sepsis. To get their product over the line to the clinical trial stage, Microbio requested that SBM create a unique brand that would symbolise their product ‘InfectID’ and future research. The brand needed to be flexible and easy to apply to a number of different contexts, allowing it to accommodate the introduction of new products and assets.
The solution
SBM undertook extensive research to gain a thorough understanding of what was on offer, due to Microbio’s industry and their niche product. Research into both the market and competitors identified a clean and simple design as the best way forward. SBM chose visually striking imagery of molecules to act as the focal point of the logo, website and supporting materials. The whole project has a very short timeframe, which resulted in SBM working closely with the client to design, develop and deliver the website within the space of a week.
The results
Microbio were delighted with the end result, especially considering the extremely quick turnover. They were specifically impressed with how the logo and the supporting brand imagery perfectly captured the essence of the product and the core values of their startup, in a way that would appeal to the their target audience. The simplicity of the design ensures flexibility, making it perfect for use in Microbio’s in-house presentations and any future product introductions.
