The puzzle
The Inside Project is an award-winning design and renovation company, specialising in bathrooms, kitchens and laundries. They were looking to build upon their existing marketing success from working with SBM, with a special project aimed at gathering a large number of quality leads. This meant boosting the Inside Project’s organic search ranking; no mean feat in the extremely competitive home renovation industry. However, the foundations had already been laid by the past work of SBM’s marketing team, giving them a solid base to start climbing the rankings.
The solution
The SBM marketing team worked closely with the Inside Project, researching their target market until we knew the exact key areas of focus. While kitchens and bathrooms were both valuable, the numbers revealed bathrooms to be the less competitive of the two, making them the main target of their own Adwords campaign. Both SEO and AdWords campaigns were maintained to grow the client’s organic online presence. This meant making a number of technical SEO changes to the Inside Project website structure, with detailed keyword research used to identify areas of opportunity and expand the website’s potential to be found using search.
The results
The Inside Project currently ranks in the top ten search results for extremely valuable keywords, including ‘bathroom designers’, which has over eight-thousand searches every month. Their overall rankings also jumped well over a thousand spots since the campaign began. From 2018-2019, their organic conversions increased by 48%, going above and beyond their original goal. However, the results didn’t stop there. After a poorly handled website redesign by an outside company, SBM effectively reversed the Inside Project’s dwindling search rankings via smart audits and fixing key SEO elements on the site.
