Fed Square
The project
SBM develops a user-friendly Learning Management System for Fed Square, saving time and gathering valuable data.
The puzzle
Federation Square is a world-renowned Melbourne location that hosts some of the greatest exhibitions, events and activities Australia has to offer. Fed Square found itself in need of a new and extremely user-friendly Learning Management System (LMS) that was simple for contractors and the Fed Square management team. It was vital that the LMS would save admin time by automating what had once been arduous manual tasks. Two different user experiences had to be taken into account: one from the front end, and another from the admin management side.
The solution
The SBM development team created an automated LMS that was simultaneously clean, user-friendly and functional from both ends. The new system was custom built to save time and automate as many processes as possible. The design of the website was a team effort, with the Design team working alongside Fed Square to determine exactly what they would need for a clean, efficient UX. This allowed for multiple iterations and an extensive feedback process to refine the UX to a sharp point.
The results
Fed Square was extremely happy with their new LMS, which gave their admins the ability to easily update the server from the back end and add/refine courses based on brand new analytic tools. This has resulted in a huge amount of time saved, from both ends of the system. To ensure Fed Square knew how to effectively use the new technology, SBM hosted a training session to ensure it was all integrated and its various tools were being used to their full potential.
