The project
Robust and simple user flow effectively manages and updates GEMt’s online courses.
The puzzle
The Global Education of Manual Therapists (GEMt) provides safe and comprehensive dry needling courses to manual therapists across several countries, their growing influence bolstered by positive research into the benefits of dry needling. GEMt approached SBM to create a robust and simple user flow server, in order to manage and update online courses for the dry needling industry. The website needed to be easy to manage from the admin side, whilst being attractive and simple for users. It was also crucial that the website run the online courses in their entirety.
The solution
SBM had an in-depth discovery meeting with GEMt to discuss potential features and narrow down exactly what would be needed for the server. It was identified that integration of a new payment system would be crucial, specifically one that would mesh with all the existing systems, as well as current user accounts. SBM’s Development team was able to work around the client’s preferences, altering based on feedback, developing functional specs and keeping the client informed throughout the entirety of the process.
The results
SBM successfully created a robust LMS system that satisfied the client’s brief. Despite the challenges presented, a brand new payment system was integrated with the current systems with no disturbances. Both the client and user side of the systems were developed to be smooth, efficient and simple to operate. The system now features a variety of different options and courses that can be run internationally, ensuring that GEMt are able to expand their business and provide effective education to future manual therapists.
