The project
SBM creates new brand identity and a class-leading online user portal for Crohn’s and Colitis Hub.
The puzzle
Crohn’s & Colitis Australia (CCA) is the peak body representing the 85,000+ Australians living with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). For well over three decades, CCA has been helping their community through support services, education, advocacy and research. They approached SBM to design a new brand identity for their Hub project, as well as developing the related website. This was to be a CMS-powered portal of regularly updated content, offering a best-in-class user experience with a number of interactive features to enhance engagement.
The solution
SBM delivered a full and comprehensive brand identity guide that laid out the website’s ideal visual design. The branding package included a logo and a set of icons for the Crohn’s and Colitis Hub, designed to complement the existing CCA logo while establishing the Hub project as distinct. The website was to be heavy on content, so the navigation and structure were custom designed for simplicity with a clean, uncluttered user interface and colour-coded sections. The team carefully considered accessibility and responsiveness, which resulted in the perfect user experience for the target audience.
The results
The final product was a new brand identity for the Hub, together with a website that’s as visually effective as it is user-friendly. Across the whole project, each element passed through a strict approval process with the team at Crohn’s and Colitis, resulting in a polished brand, an ultra-friendly website and total satisfaction from the client. SBM’s Design and Development teams worked together to deliver a seamless outcome, crafting a final product that combines style and smooth operation into a massively useful ‘Hub’ for anyone seeking information.
