The project

A sweeping backend update gives Phoenix Health solid security and peace of mind.

The puzzle

Phoenix Health is a not-for-profit health fund established in 1953, offering affordable private health insurance to a huge range of clients and giving their members the best possible services and benefits.

Many different developers had worked on the Phoenix Health website over the years, and their team had some concerns about their site security. They asked the SBM Development team for a rigorous site audit to find outdated plugins and identify security problems.

The solution

The SBM Dev team performed an extremely thorough audit of the Phoenix Health website, focusing on possible security breaches. They then set to work fixing the list of issues and shoring up the website security.

Upgrades were made to the programming language, and gaps in security were patched across the board, fixing weak points and giving greater protections to user/form data. Sweeping plugin changes brought them in line with the new and hugely improved website.
