The project
SBM’s Design team produces promo material for Incredibles 2, resulting in a powerful marketing campaign across all of Australia.
The puzzle
As Disney’s trusted marketing partner in Australia, the SBM team was given the task of crafting promo material for Incredibles 2, specifically targeting Australian audiences. Utilising official artwork from Disney and Pixar, SBM was to repurpose and adjust the designs while maintaining their integrity. Each design had to be fun and eye-catching, as well as prominently integrating the film’s release date. Disney and Pixar’s high standards and strict regulations were to be met in all aspects of the campaign.
The solution
The SBM Design team got to work on the campaign, designing posters, web banners, billboards and much more. The campaign was to be nationwide and had to appeal to a wide range of audiences, although with a special focus on children and parents. After years of working alongside Disney, the SBM team was aware of the restrictions and limitations of working with the brand, as well as delivering such massive advertising campaigns. Through constant communication with Disney and Pixar, the team was able to tailor each piece of work to strict standards for the maximum impact with their target audience.
The results
SBM’s Design team designed exceptional images for web banners, tickets, public transport, animated digital panels, lanyards and IMAX stairs, culminating in a massive, holistic effort that covered countless size types and a wide variety of mediums and platforms. The resulting work was displayed across Australia, garnering millions of impressions. Thanks to strong marketing, Pixar’s Incredibles 2 was a huge commercial success in Australia, earning a national total of over $10 million on its opening weekend, for a total of well over a billion dollars worldwide.
