Georgie Charity
The project
Local charity Doing It For Georgie receives a full brand identity, designed to build awareness and recognition for a good cause.
The puzzle
Doing It For Georgie is a charity created to financially support a young boy who has been impaired since birth. The client’s first request was for a logo to be used in an upcoming fundraiser. It soon became clear that a full brand identity was needed to establish legitimacy, increase awareness, generate public donations and gain corporate sponsorship. The brand needed to be flexible and simple enough to apply to promoting future events across multiple platforms, including digital, print and merchandise. It was also important to reflect Georgie’s sunny personality.
The solution
SBM’s design team worked closely with the charity to understand their unique situation. The name ‘Doing It For Georgie’ emerged from this collaboration, capturing the spirit and purpose of the charity. The final product was made to represent Georgie’s bright, sunny personality, making use of a playful symbol: Georgie’s handprint, shaped into the letter ‘G’. A simple, ultra-flexible branding system was developed, incorporating splashes of colour and a friendly, rounded font. These were delivered alongside print collateral and social media assets.
