The project
SBM helps turn a small drainage specialist into Melbourne’s most trusted plumbing service, through powerful marketing strategies and quality online leads.
The puzzle
When Drainpro came to the SBM team, their business was at a major disadvantage in the highly competitive drainage contracting industry: they had almost no presence online. Drainpro hoped to reduce their cost per acquisition and gain an increase in online leads. This would be a massive help with the growth of the business and allow them to stay consistently ahead of the competition. Given that many of Drainpro’s competitors were already well established and had been doing marketing for years, SBM had to take a unique approach to make the digital campaigns effective.
The solution
The key to success would be the communication between SBM and Drainpro. By regularly discussing ongoing campaigns and new opportunities, SBM was able to effectively implement new strategies surrounding keyword rankings, conversion rates and quality AdWords leads, at a very low cost per acquisition. By implementing an outside-the-box approach, the SBM team found gaps in the market to make Drainpro’s digital campaigns viable and profitable. Through a strong and steadily expanding focus on crucial suburbs and keywords, Drainpro’s influence grew along with their online visibility.
The results
Through their partnership with SBM, Drainpro has achieved a stellar cost per acquisition of under $150, and their conversions have continued to improve with each campaign. Since April 2017, Drainpro’s keyword rankings have improved by more than 2000 places and they now feature in Google’s top ten for over eighty vital keywords. Over five months in 2020, Drainpro saw a more than 50% increase in conversion rates for both their AdWords and organic leads, compared to the previous period. According to Google, Drainpro is now Melbourne’s highest rated drain specialist.
