Child HR

Animated explainer video reflects the client's core valuesFinance/Law/Government

The project

SBM creates standout video to explain and build trust around ChildHR’s software products.

The puzzle

ChildHR is an HR solution built for the early learning sector. Their cloud-based software is designed to support the complex HR needs of early learning centres. This means meeting national quality standards, staying on top of legislative changes and streamlining management. They were seeking video materials to explain what the software does and showcase how it can be a real help to businesses. The goal was to create something visually stunning and truly distinctive, while also establishing the trust needed to drive conversions.

The solution

SBM’s video team set about crafting an animated video that would beautifully tie into the early learning environment, using 3D animated toys to illustrate the user journey. ChildHR’s pre-existing theme of wood textures and a vibrant colour palette were replicated in the animation. The video was designed to appear on the client’s website, where it would explain the product to potential users and drive trial sign-ups. It was important to build trust by showcasing real businesses benefitting from the software, so a live-action testimonial was embedded into the animated world.

The results

Thanks to in-depth consultation throughout the entire process, both the animation and testimonial videos were massively successful in realising the client’s vision. The video’s message was clearly established, resonating with ChildHR’s values. The videos currently sit on the client’s website to educate potential customers about the product. They’ve been a huge success in communicating the problem-solving capacity of the product within its highly specific niche, driving website visitors to sign up for a 1-month trial period.

The client was wanting to place a testimonial from one of their previous clients. We wanted a creative way to incorporate a live-action testimonial, instead of just cutting to a full screen video. We came up with the idea of placing the testimonial video within a 3D animated Ipad to create more visual interest, as well as stylistic consistency that ties everything together.

Incorporating colours and style features from the client’s existing branding was important for keeping the video visually anchored in their website. We were able to take elements from the ChildHR website, such as their wooden block icons, as well as colours and text, and incorporate them into our animation.
