The project
SBM helps one of Australia’s biggest energy companies increase both their profits and their rate of high-quality leads.
The puzzle
As one of Australia’s leading commercial energy providers, Cherry Energy Solutions wanted to increase the value of their website leads. Cherry’s widespread brand recognition gave them the advantage in a highly competitive industry, although the look of their website and its structure needed improvement. SBM’s main challenge was working around the existing framework to increase traffic. After that, focus was shifted to improving the user experience on the website, with the goal of increasing the rate of conversion.
The solution
SBM and Cherry Energy Solutions worked closely together throughout the project, discussing performance and analysing detailed reports. By implementing a strong content strategy of keyword research and quality blog posts, Cherry would be able to drive organic traffic to their website, establishing the business as an industry leader that search engines could trust. An audit of the website improved its structure and allowed for stronger indexing, and SBM also led the way by building a custom solar calculator that would be invaluable to website visitors.
The results
Cherry Energy Solutions had an over sixty percent increase in leads as a result of this campaign. Even after the campaign had finished, their leads continued to experience strong growth over the following year. Overall, Cherry’s website ranking made a jump of over three-thousand places in the search rankings, and its organic sessions, conversion rate and paid conversion rate were hugely improved. The solar calculator also performed so well that it received its very own search term as ‘Cherry Solar Calculator’.
