Sponsorship videos attract financial support from new businesses and lead Jaxon Evans to racing championship.
The puzzle
As one of Australia’s most successful racing teams, McElrea Racing specialises in Australia GT, the Carrera Cup and the GT3 Cup Challenge. With significant pull across Australia and New Zealand, McElrea Racing was on the hunt for future success. They contacted SBM to create a video highlighting the unique benefits of a sponsorship package with Jaxon Evans, an up-and-coming young racer. It was vital that the video communicated a powerful brand message for each sponsor, highlighting the future rewards of the sponsorship package.
The solution
Targeted at potential sponsors, each video told the story of racing team success, the marketing strategy and the benefits to the sponsor. The videos showcased a branded message that communicated all the vital info while building excitement, addressing the future sponsors personally. To nail the perfect call to action, SBM’s video team showed examples of sponsor content side by side, clearly showing the key benefits. To show the effectiveness of our approach, a live stream of the video content acted as a running case study.
The results
The videos created by SBM attracted multiple new and engaged sponsors, all of whom were excited at the prospect of joining the campaign. Backed by the newfound sponsorship funding and greatly increased budget, Jaxon Evans had a flawless season and went on to win the championship. This championship win added additional value to Evans’ sponsors, having a knock-on effect that made future sponsorship opportunities even stronger.
