Disney AUNZ Style Guide
The project
A comprehensive brand design style guide provides Disney sub-brands with guidance and versatility, helping Disney AUNZ to make their mark on a new market.
The puzzle
Disney needs no introduction: at the pinnacle of animation storytelling and major motion pictures, they’ve been a design client of SBM for over twenty years. Servicing the Australian market, Disney AUNZ requested that SBM’s designers create a style guide for two Disney sub-brands, to remain consistent with the overarching Disney style. A series of versatile printed style guides were to be developed by the design team to cater for the Channels, Platform and Content sub-brands.
The solution
It was vital that the design of the style guide be in line with the launch of the Disney AUNZ brand refresh; this would be a focal point of the whole operation. The Design team therefore had to create a clean and technically perfect InDesign file that could be easily updated without losing design integrity. To be absolutely perfect, the final product would effectively convey the elements of the three sub-brands while meshing flawlessly with Disney’s long-standing brand and values. This meant working closely with Disney to make sure everything was on track.
The results
The final result was colourful, vibrant and extremely easy to follow, with the rollout of the style guides to all of Disney’s creative teams ensuring the integrity of the Disney AUNZ brand. The comprehensive style guide template created by SBM was designed for limited specialty print and online use, strengthening the brand awareness of all the sub-brands and giving Disney an even stronger brand foothold across Australia and New Zealand.
