The project
SBM’s Design team crafts promo material for Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame, smashing through multiple box office records.
The puzzle
SBM was trusted with the significant task of creating a campaign for the Marvel Studios film Avengers: Endgame, to be used all across Australia. The official artwork used in the United States was to be repurposed and localised for the Australian market, utilising several formats and platforms, both for digital and print. Design consistency and integrity were absolutely essential across the entire campaign, as were the adjustments that would appeal to Australian audiences, promoting the film to its perfect target market.
The solution
The SBM Design team was tasked with producing web banners, posters, billboards and much more – all of these in many different sizes, so they could be fitted to almost any surface or display. With early projections predicting that Endgame could be the biggest box office hit in history, SBM made sure to have a strong understanding of all restrictions and specifications of the Disney brand when working on this campaign. Working within these parameters, the SBM team regularly communicated with Disney to ensure that every medium was effectively appealing to the film’s audience.
The results
Avengers: Endgame was Disney and Marvel’s largest ever ad campaign, which culminated in their greatest ever success. The SBM team created visually stunning images for digital panels, social campaigns, tickets, trams, busses, lanyards and more, blanketing the country in high quality imagery and stunning, arresting ads. Avengers: Endgame went on to smash multiple box office records, becoming the highest-grossing film of all time, both in Australia and across the world.
