Sunnybank Food Trail
The project
Stunning design work makes the Sunnybank Food Trail’s ten-year anniversary a runaway success
The puzzle
Sunnybank Plaza and Park are major shopping centres close to the heart of Brisbane, catering to a vibrant and diverse population. Famed for their massive selection of authentic Asian restaurants, the twin centres host the annual ‘Sunnybank Food Trail’, where locals can sample a huge variety of foods.
Sunnybank and Follow/SBM had been working together since 2015, and 2024 was set to be their biggest and most popular event yet. This time, the design work needed a ‘wow’ factor that would catch the attention of both attendees and their huge social media audience.
The solution
With Sunnybank’s regular theme as a base, SBM’s Design team set to work creating a huge list of attention-grabbing deliverables: brochures, tote bags, print ads, competition artwork, event signage and more. Signage had to be clear to all attendees, balancing the diversity of the event and including all restaurants participating in the Food Trail.
The ten-year anniversary celebration was to be front and centre, which meant crafting a brand new logo and brainstorming new concepts to celebrate the milestone event.

The result
The ten-year anniversary of the Sunnybank Food Trail was a massive success, welcoming over 19,000 hungry attendees. Visitors enjoyed the vibrant artwork from the SBM team, taking home the custom-designed menus and tote bags, and coming together as a community to celebrate delicious cultural delicacies.
Over 45 restaurants participated in the event, with every restaurant and stall completely sold out at the end of the day. Sunnybank Plaza was thrilled with the new artwork, which was featured prominently across all of their social media channels.
